Founded in Bangkok, 2018.
Orithen began when its founders — a data scientist and a business consultant — grew frustrated with AI projects that promised transformation but delivered complexity without clarity. Working across Southeast Asia's mid-market, they had seen capable organisations take on AI initiatives that were oversized for their actual operational needs, leaving teams more burdened, not less.
The answer, they concluded, was not to do less with AI — but to do it differently. Smaller entry points. Honest assessment first. Deliverables that teams could actually use. They established Orithen in Ratchathewi, Bangkok, close to the city's growing technology district, and began building a practice around what they called "considered AI": work grounded in operational reality rather than aspirational projections.
Today, Orithen works with organisations across professional services, logistics, healthcare administration, and regional finance — typically on engagements where leadership teams want to make a thoughtful first move rather than a sweeping one.
